One free tier writes an exclusion, the other grants the licence
LTX Studio describes its free and Lite plans as a personal use licence and excludes promotional activity for a business, a service or a product. Leonardo.Ai states that a free user may download their own generations for commercial usage. As of 2026-09-22.
| The question | LTX Studio | Leonardo.Ai |
|---|---|---|
| What the free tier permits | Personal use, defined by exclusion | Commercial use of your own generations |
| What it withholds | Anything promotional for a business | Privacy of the concept |
| How the reading was made | From the wording on the card | From a published answer |
| What paying changes | The named licence | Who can see and remix the work |
Inclusion rule. Two vendors whose published answers in one column point in different directions, or sit far enough apart that a reader choosing between them would decide differently. Order. The vendor named first in the heading is the one whose wording is quoted first.
1Opposite answers, both in writing
These two are the clearest contrast in this column, because neither side is an inference. One free tier says what it rules out and the other says what it allows, and a reader can quote either without explaining a layout.
That makes the pair useful as a demonstration that free tier is not a single concept. It describes a commercial decision each vendor made about what to give away, and the two decisions here point in opposite directions.
2Each one charges for something different
The excluding row charges for permission: the licence is what an upgrade buys. The granting row charges for privacy, because a free user's concepts stay visible to other users of the product, who may copy and remix them.
Neither is giving anything away for nothing. What differs is which asset is held back, and only one of those two assets appears in a licence column at all.
3Which exposure a brand would rather carry
Publishing under a personal use licence is a permission problem with a supplier. Publishing a concept that competitors can remix is a distinctiveness problem with a market. The first can be fixed by paying; the second cannot be undone.
The register records both without ranking them. A campaign that needs a look nobody else can reproduce will read this pair differently from one that needs a clip cleared by Friday.
4A third set of terms on the same question
| The question | SceneMixer | Source |

Inclusion rule. SceneMixer's own published wording on the column this pair was chosen for. Order. The sentence closest to the column first.

5Both documents
The first column comes from the pricing page at ltx.io, read 2026-09-12; the second from the help centre answer at leonardo.ai, read 2026-09-22. Each vendor’s full row is on LTX Studio and Leonardo.Ai, and the column being compared is described on free tier. A comparison of wording is not legal advice.
