What each vendor's terms say about commercial use

Termination, and what it does to work already delivered

Termination ends a grant. It stops the basis for continuing to produce and, in most documents, says nothing about material already generated and published, which is the gap readers most often need filled. As of 2026-09-22.

QuestionWhat the phrase answers
Producing more outputStops when the grant ends
Output already publishedNot unmade, and rarely addressed
Output held and unpublishedThe genuinely uncertain case
A licence back the vendor holdsOften perpetual, and survives

Inclusion rule. Phrases that appear in more than one vendor's permissions documents and that change what a sentence means. A phrase used by a single vendor in a single clause is described on that vendor's own page instead. Order. Reading order: where you meet it, then what it settles, then what it does not.

1Three different kinds of material at the moment a grant ends

What has aired is a fact in the world. What is producible tomorrow is clearly gone. In between sits a library of exported files that nobody has shipped, and that is the category documents avoid.

A reader with an archive should assume nothing and ask. It is a short question with a short answer, and asking before termination is considerably easier than asking afterwards.

2The asymmetry with the licence back

Where a supplier's licence over customer material is perpetual and the customer's grant ends with the subscription, termination is asymmetric by design. That is normal drafting and worth noticing once.

It also means closing an account does not withdraw anything from the supplier. A customer who expects deletion to follow cancellation is relying on a data policy rather than on the licence.

3Thresholds terminate grants without anybody acting

In licences with a revenue or user ceiling, crossing the figure can terminate the grant by its own terms. Nothing is served and no invoice changes, which makes this the quietest form of termination in the subject.

A calendar reminder to check the figure is the whole mitigation. It costs nothing and it is the difference between planning an enterprise conversation and having one in an emergency.

4From the making side

Alongside the terms behind “Termination”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:

You can recomposite with different end-card text, and in step-by-step mode you can reshoot individual segments. The finished file can also be downloaded and shared with a link.

The spoken lines and the end card follow your interface language across fifteen dialogue languages, with the cast and setting adapted to that market. The end card falls back to a language it can typeset when a script needs shaping or right-to-left layout.

5Where the sourced wording is

A word page, not an entry in the register: nothing above is attributed to any vendor and nothing above is legal advice. The quoted clauses are on commercial use, the column this phrase turns up in is commercial use from, and the reading rules are on the reading page. Next words: Suspension, Attribution, Provenance.
