Runway draws the boundary around a category, not a card
Commercial use is listed on the paid plans. No individual plan carries the boundary and no figure marks it, so the crossing point here is a category whose membership a reader works out from the same page. As of 2026-09-12.
| What the record holds | As published |
|---|---|
| The published wording | Commercial use is listed on the paid plans |
| Where it appears | The plan comparison, stated of the paid columns rather than of one of them |
| How the reading was established | Stated of a group of plans, with no plan named as the boundary |
| What the cell leaves open | What happens to the category when plans are renamed, split or given a cheaper variant |
Inclusion rule. One vendor, one column. A cell earns a page when the vendor publishes something specific there, or when its silence is unusual beside the vendors read with it. Order. Fixed order: the wording, then its address, then the method, then the gap.
1A category is easy to read and hard to keep
For a buyer the wording is convenient: any purchase clears it, and nobody has to compare cards. For a register it is the weakest form of a stated crossing point, because the sentence depends on a plan list that lives beside it and changes more often than it does.
Renaming a plan, adding a cheaper variant or splitting one tier into two all move the category without touching the sentence. The permission then covers a different set of customers than it did when it was written.
2Why the register records a category rather than a figure
Printing a price here would be an improvement invented by the reader. The honest entry is the vendor's own formulation, even though it makes this row harder to compare with the rows that name a plan and a number.
Two vendors in this register use this shape, and they are not equivalent: one of them has a free plan beneath the category and the other has no free plan at all, so the same sentence carries a different consequence on each row.
3What a brand should keep instead
Since the permission attaches to a class of plans rather than to a named one, the record worth keeping is which plan was actually in force on the day the clip was exported.
That turns a wording problem into a filing problem, and a filing problem is one a team can solve without waiting for a vendor to redraft anything.

4What the output is for
Alongside the terms behind “Runway, crossing point”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
A dish photo is cleaned into a product shot and the ad is built around it.

The music runs across the end card and comes to an end with the film.

5Where this reading came from
The cell above was taken from the pricing page published at runway.com, as that page stood on 2026-09-12. The remaining three cells of the same vendor row sit on Runway; the column itself is described on commercial use from. This is a filing decision and not legal advice.
