How an error here gets fixed, and what stays behind
A wrong reading is a different problem from a stale one. Where a cell misread a document, the cell is corrected and the earlier version stays in the dated record, because somebody may have relied on it. As of 2026-09-22.
| Problem | What happens |
|---|---|
| The wording was misread | Corrected, with the earlier version kept and dated |
| The page changed after the reading | Re-read, and both readings kept |
| A count in the prose no longer matches | Fixed everywhere it appears, not only on one page |
| A cell was filled from a document outside scope | Removed, and recorded as not published |
Inclusion rule. Rules this register applies to every row. A rule is written down here when following it changes what a cell says, or when breaking it would make the grid look more complete than it is. Order. Reading order: the ordinary case first, then the awkward ones.
1A misreading and a stale cell are not the same
Stale means the document moved. Misread means the document said something else at the time, and only one of those is a failure of the register. Recording which is which is part of being able to trust the rest.
The correction carries its own date, so a reader can see when the record started being right. A silent fix would leave every earlier quotation unexplained.
2The worst error is a number that drifted
A count written into a sentence months ago becomes wrong when a row is added, and nothing about the page looks different. That class of error is caught by checking totals against the grid rather than by reading.
Fixing it means fixing every page that carried the number, not the one somebody noticed. A register with two different totals in it has a credibility problem larger than either number.
3What to send if a cell is wrong
The page, the wording as it appears now, and the date you read it. That is enough to re-read and correct, and it is the same evidence the cell was built from in the first place.
A dispute about what a clause means is a different message and gets a different answer: the register records wording, and an interpretation of that wording is outside what it will put in a cell.
4The rest of the method
A rule about recording, not a statement about any vendor: nothing on this page is attributed and nothing on it is legal advice. The rules are collected on the reading page, the quoted clauses are on commercial use, and the cells this rule produced are on the recorded cells. Nearby rules: Reading an absence, Blank cells.
5What the output is for
Alongside the terms behind “Corrections”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
The product image is always redrawn from your original photo so it stays your product.

References in this project’s storyboards are rewritten to the new name, and the old name stays on the card as an entry.
