Leonardo.Ai settles ownership with a privacy setting
On a private generation the user retains full ownership, copyright and all other intellectual property rights. For public content the vendor retains worldwide perpetual rights to use, copy, adapt, modify, publish and create derivative works. As of 2026-09-22.
| What the record holds | As published |
|---|---|
| The published wording | Full ownership on a private generation; worldwide perpetual rights retained over public content |
| Where it appears | A help centre answer on commercial usage |
| How the reading was established | Stated twice, with a privacy setting deciding which sentence applies |
| What the cell leaves open | What happens to rights in a generation that was public and is later made private |
Inclusion rule. One vendor, one column. A cell earns a page when the vendor publishes something specific there, or when its silence is unusual beside the vendors read with it. Order. Fixed order: the wording, then its address, then the method, then the gap.
1A toggle that decides a legal position
Two sentences on one page describe opposite outcomes, and the thing that selects between them is a setting inside the product. That is rare in this register and it is operationally awkward, because settings are changed by whoever is at the keyboard.
It also means the answer for a given clip is a fact about how it was generated rather than about the account or the plan. Two files made minutes apart can sit on different sides of the sentence.
2The public side is worded broadly
Worldwide, perpetual, and covering use, copying, reproduction, processing, adaptation, modification, publication, transmission and derivative works: the list is long and each verb adds something. Nothing in it is unusual for a platform that displays user work.
What makes it worth recording is the pairing. A customer who reads only the private sentence believes they hold everything, and a customer who reads only the public one believes they hold nothing.
3What a production has to write down
Per clip: whether the generation was private, and which account held the setting. That is a two-column record, and it is the difference between answering a client's question in an afternoon and reconstructing a workflow from memory.
The register does not tell anybody which setting to use. It records that the setting carries the ownership answer, which is the part a plan comparison would never show.

4From the making side
Alongside the terms behind “Leonardo.Ai, owned work”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
The spoken lines and the end card follow your interface language across fifteen dialogue languages, with the cast and setting adapted to that market. The end card falls back to a language it can typeset when a script needs shaping or right-to-left layout.

On a segment’s card, Insert adds a blank segment right after it: write its header and shots.

5Where this reading came from
The cell above was taken from the help centre answer published at leonardo.ai, as that page stood on 2026-09-22. The remaining three cells of the same vendor row sit on Leonardo.Ai; the column itself is described on what is owned. This is a filing decision and not legal advice.
