What Stable Video Diffusion publishes about rights
Stable Video Diffusion (stability.ai) is covered by a community licence whose boundary is revenue rather than a plan: commercial use is covered until the licensee has more than USD $1,000,000 in annual revenue, above which the granted licences terminate and an enterprise licence has to be requested. As of 2026-09-22.
| Point | What the vendor publishes |
|---|---|
| Free tier | Weights published under a community licence, no plan to read |
| Commercial use from | The licence, below USD $1,000,000 in annual revenue |
| What is owned | You own any outputs generated from the models, to the extent the law permits |
| Input restriction | No statement published |
Inclusion rule. The same four points are recorded for every vendor here. A point the vendor does not publish is recorded as no statement rather than inferred from terms of service. Order. Fixed order, identical on every product page.
1A threshold measured in the licensee's revenue, not the vendor's price
Every crossing point elsewhere in this register is a number the vendor sets and the customer pays. This one is a number the customer reports about itself. Two studios using identical weights for identical work can be on opposite sides of it, and neither the model nor the output shows which.
It also means the answer can change without anyone touching the tooling. A good year moves a business across the line, and the licence position of work already delivered is a question the agreement addresses and a production file has to be able to date.
2Termination is a stronger word than upgrade
Above the figure, the licences granted under the agreement terminate and an enterprise licence must be requested, granted at the vendor's discretion. That is not a tier change; it is a lapse with a negotiation attached, and the timing is set by the licensee's accounts rather than by a renewal date.
A brand at scale should read that as a reason to start the conversation early. A growing studio should read it as a clause that will arrive, and will arrive at the point when the most work is in flight.
3The ownership line is unconditional, with one hedge
You own any outputs generated from the models or derivative works, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The hedge at the end is doing real work, because whether a generated frame is ownable at all differs by jurisdiction and no licence can decide it.
Recorded as written, that is a clearer ownership answer than most hosted products in this register manage, and it sits in the same document as the revenue threshold. Both halves travel together or neither is quotable.

5A generator's account of it
Alongside the terms behind “Stable Video Diffusion”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
The terms grant you the output to the extent the law allows, and that includes commercial use.

The final cut ends on an end card: your main image plus four lines — Brand, Product name, Tagline, Call to action. The first two are read from your photo and your brief; the tagline and call to action are written with the script.
