Which documents are read for the grid, and which are not
The register reads public English pages: plan pages, terms, licence files, help centre answers and repository notes. Negotiated agreements are outside its scope, which is why a blank describes the retail position only. As of 2026-09-22.
| Document | Read for the grid |
|---|---|
| A public plan or plans page | Yes |
| Terms of service or a licence file | Yes |
| A help centre answer or export article | Yes, with the location recorded |
| A negotiated enterprise agreement | No: unpublished and not obtainable |
Inclusion rule. Rules this register applies to every row. A rule is written down here when following it changes what a cell says, or when breaking it would make the grid look more complete than it is. Order. Reading order: the ordinary case first, then the awkward ones.
1Public means checkable
Everything recorded here has to be verifiable by a reader with a browser. That is what makes a cell worth pasting into a note, and it is the boundary that keeps the register honest rather than well-informed.
It also means the register is describing a shelf rather than a market. The terms a large buyer signs are better than the public ones on most rows, and none of that improvement is visible here.
2Why the location is recorded as carefully as the wording
A grant in a help article and the same grant in the terms are not equally findable, and findability decides whether a permission gets relied on. Recording where a sentence lives is part of recording the sentence.
It is also how a reader knows what weight to give it. A help centre answer is usually the clearest wording in a set and is not the document that binds.
3What a blank does and does not tell a buyer
That nothing was found on the pages read. Not that the vendor has no position, and not that a position could not be obtained by asking, which is often the cheapest thing a reader can do.
Where an answer arrives by email, it belongs in the buyer's own file with the date. It does not enter this register, because nobody else can check it.
4The rest of the method
A rule about recording, not a statement about any vendor: nothing on this page is attributed and nothing on it is legal advice. The rules are collected on the reading page, the quoted clauses are on commercial use, and the cells this rule produced are on the recorded cells. Nearby rules: Rows, Cell pages.
5A generator's account of it
Alongside the terms behind “Pages read”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
On the end card, yes, along with the product name, the tagline and the call to action, in the language of the ad.

On a segment’s card, Insert adds a blank segment right after it: write its header and shots.
