Synthesia's boundary travels with the avatar, not the plan
Use in any form of paid promotion is listed as not allowed with stock and synthetic avatars, and with a custom avatar those restrictions do not apply. The boundary is set by which presenter is in the video, and no plan marks it. As of 2026-09-22.
| What the record holds | As published |

| The published wording | Paid promotion is ruled out with stock and synthetic avatars, and permitted with a custom one |
| Where it appears | The video licensing page, read against the plan page |
| How the reading was established | Stated against the avatar type rather than against any subscription |

Inclusion rule. One vendor, one column. A cell earns a page when the vendor publishes something specific there, or when its silence is unusual beside the vendors read with it. Order. Fixed order: the wording, then its address, then the method, then the gap.
1A condition a plan table could not express
Paid television, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube advertising are each named as ruled out with a stock or synthetic presenter, while training videos and product videos on your own site are listed as permitted. Those are use cases, not tiers.
No arrangement of plan cards can carry that distinction, because the thing being restricted is the person on screen. A register built around crossing points has to record the mechanism rather than force a price into the cell.
2How the restriction is lifted
With a custom avatar the licensing restrictions are stated not to apply, and the video may be used according to the agreement made with the person. The grant is handed to a contract between the customer and a human being.
That is a different kind of answer from the rest of this column. Elsewhere a vendor decides what a customer may do; here the vendor steps back and points at an agreement it is not a party to.
3What the consequence of breaking it is
The same page states that a video breaking these rules may lead to the account being suspended. Few documents read for this register attach a consequence to the boundary at all, and a suspension clause is a stronger signal than a licence line.
For a brand running a campaign through a single production account, that clause is the one worth reading twice, because it puts continuity of access on the line rather than merely the status of one clip.

4A generator's account of it
Alongside the terms behind “Synthesia, crossing point”, SceneMixer's guides describe the work itself this way:
A dish photo is cleaned into a product shot and the ad is built around it.

The photo is cleaned into a product shot and that object appears in every shot.

5Where this reading came from
The cell above was taken from the video licensing page published at synthesia.io, as that page stood on 2026-09-22. The remaining three cells of the same vendor row sit on Synthesia; the column itself is described on commercial use from. This is a filing decision and not legal advice.
